Been researching Fuller for 2 days now. I can get the RT-6610 locally. I also found an RTOO-9513 for a great price with no exchange. I assume it weighs 200 + pounds more than the 10 speed, but cannot find it on Fullers site and I haven't the specs on input shaft, but I like the added gearing selection of the upper gears.
I'm not a machinist, nor do I have access to a shop that I would trust to do the work here. Machfab, if you would PM your contact info I would like to talk to you.
Go to roadranger.com and search for gear ratio. Its a list of pretty much all road rangers ever made. Click on the 13spd tab and the RTOO is in there. From memory its around 750lbs minus bell housing, clutch, shifter, and oil. 3 OD gears that are around .86, .75, .62. Input can be either 1 3/4" or 2" in a 9500 motor.
Well I scored an rt-610 from a 68 coe. Have to find a shift tower though. Debating whether to switch ring and pinions or get the od kit.
But I consider it a bonus getting an SAE #2 clutch housing with push clutch and slave with it. Trying to dig up a bell for the 5.9. I figure to just run a 14" clutch anyways.
Still have some machining for machfab when I get my ducks in a row.
BTW: picking up an nv271 tomorrow. a little stronger than the 241HD

You might want to reconsider. The 610 is the forerunner of the 6610 and has coarse cut gears. The transmission will be deafeningly loud. You could probably put some sound deadening material between the cab and tranny.
I pull a 20,000 # gvw roll off/dump trailer, and have since had to turn down a few jobs, I need to get my truck back on the road, and the 610 was very reasonable, as much so that I can put some $$$ into other things. ( SAE #2 bell, clutch, machining)
If the noise output is intolerable I will sound deaden it.
In the meantime I'm still looking for a 6610. But not at 3 grand.
Off to pick up a 271.

Well just think of it as our vp44, every truck has its demons. Im selling my 2nd gen and will be doing a fummins project and building a CR to put in it.
