What else can it be?

Truck just will not start. Replaced injection pump, crank sensor, cam sensor. Getting these codes:
P1689: NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ECM & INJECTION PUMP MODULE
P0216: Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure

Fuel is spraying out of the injector lines real good. Truck just cranks and cranks with no start. All fuses and relays are good. Key is in the keyway and undamaged. Checked the plug on the back of the injection pump and there is power and grounds where needed. Truck will not run even for a second. Batteries are charged and motor is turning over good. What else can it be?

These codes show up the whole time? Did you clear them after you changed parts?

Did you make sure your big wiring harness to your vp is plugged all the way on?

Is it even kicking to start, and have you loosened all 6 lines, had to do this before mine would go.

Are the cross over tubes in right? if not then they would be letting fuel into the return channel in the head.Oh and one more thing, are the high pressure lines on right, I remember a guy on here a few months ago with the same problem as you and it turned out he had the lines mixed up though how he managed this is beyond me.

nah man i have them on just like i took em off. no spark lol. I was driving and it started sputtering and surging and died. We filled it up to a quarter tank and bled the lines with no luck. My dad towed me back to the house and i popped the clutch and it started and would drive in first as long as i would not touch the gas any(if i did, it would die). sounded to us and a few on here to be a vp issue. that is the problem we have been trying to fix this whole time
