Sis Put Gas In My Cummins!!!!!!! Help

it is bad i know she drove it 15-18 miles before it quit, what should i expect??????? damage to vp-44????? engine???????

if it actually died then worst case would be cylinder/piston damage

whats weird is the gas cap says diesel fuel only as well as on the dash board..it must be a tricky one to pull off

i hope its not too bad

I used to work for a construction company and the foremans managed to do it on a regular basis..

Of course they never drove it w/gas so I can't help ya jasoncrydn...

i guess one side of the pump was gas one was diesel. it will restart if i use starting fluid, i thought it was a lift pump issue at first. but does not want to idle , wont restrat if it dies

ther idiots i work with like to fill the diesel cans for the skid steer with gas and then the dump it in
it happens about twice a week and my boos still wont fire them

i would say flush the entire fuel system and refill it if it runs at all take it to the closest diesel mechanic and have it checked out

did you hear any really bad noises?

no when it starts it sounds fine, just idling up and down and stalling. i thought the lift pump was bad , when i tried to check the pressure i smelled gas and no pressure from the pump either

flush system out put good diesel back in and some cycle motor oil restart and let it idle for a period then as stated take in and run codes on it

hope all turns for the good

im gonna drain everything tommorrow and fluch and fill it with DIESEL , was just wondering if anybody had any expieriance with this before
