codes: P1693 and P done

OK so ive been reading for a couple hours strait now and Im starting to go nuts. I know this has been done before and im sorry but im still new to cummins and a rookie when it comes to all these things.so the problem.... Going around 100 km/h or 60mph i get a loss of power slighty for around 2 seconds and then its gone. This comes and goes around every 10-15 mins, This just started happening to me on the way home from a trip. I filled my gas up at a hilibily station were i was and wondered if i got bad fuel???

As for the codes that came up i got p1693 and then p DONE that was all? should i try reseting my apps? Any help would be great.

There are supposed to be other codes as indicated by the 1693. What scanner did you use?

Regarding Apps reset, see mopar1973man's site for his comments and method.

2000 LWB, Quad Cab, 4x4, NV4500, AirDog, Gauges, Thuren Track Bar, Lost crappy AGR and A1-Cardone steering boxes. RedHead is the best so far but truck has stopped returning to center. Hopefully, I'll get to it soon.

If you're using the key trick to pull the code and you have a 2001 (not 2001.5) you'll never get the second code. You'll need to go to an auto parts store that can read the code for you.

I'm sure you saw the sticky (number 3 or 4 from the top of the page) about the P1693 being a companion code.

I think he did the key trick. Make sure wait to after the first set of codes. It will tell you the ecm codes, flash p-done 3 times and then tell you the codes on the pcm.

An Autozone or any reputable parts store can read the code for you.
Write them down and come back here and let us know!

I'm trying to figure out if the color of display has a reason to it. Kind of a mixed bag what I'm finding.
