fuel filter canister

I have a 98.5 and my fuel filter canister cracked somehow so I need a new one but my question is will any of the years from 1998.5 to 2002 canisters work for my truck or will it have to be the same as the one I have is? Any help is good! ( I don't have the money or time to install a fass system right now so its not in the picture)

You can technically use any one, but if you use the newer style you wont have the fuel heater or water in fuel sensor... We installed mine from my 01 on a buddies 98.5 cause his leaked too. We just taped up the sensor connectors, no CELs.

No codes, I dont have my filter canister cause of the AirDog and the only time a water in fuel light came on was when I was washing the motor, couple minutes later it went off. Same with my buddies truck... no codes, just tape up the connectors.
