Hey,

There is a drain on the fuel filter housing. It has a hose on it, open the valve and let it drain!

I don't know how water would have got in there, but that's where the sender is!!

Does it still have the stock fuel filter housing on it??? Or is the sender just hanging in there???

Later,
Winslow

Sounds to me like the culprit was because you washed under the hood. The connectors for the water in fuel sending unit may be loose causing it to read water in the fuel. Anyways, to be on the safe side, drain the filter like stated above, and then let her rip

Hey,

Wipe off the sender (one is water in fuel, other is fuel heater) and I bet you'll be good to go.

Put tape over it so it won't happen again!!!

Later,
Winslow

AHHHH, if there is a FASS on there with the spin on filters, it probably won't have the stock filter housing. Mine does this with an AIR DOG unit on it. Everytime I drive through the rain, the light will come on. More so, when I pressure wash it. No problem there, just run it.

Hey,

That's why I electrical taped mine so I won't have that problem!!!

I removed the fuel heaters and taped up the plug to prevent a short!!!!

Winslow

get some bishop tape on it before you tape, adds a lil more water proofing.
