Take your hub cap off. Then take a picture of the wheel.

No all the Cummins are full floaters. That is a Dana 80 Hybrid. I'm pretty sure the years were only from 98-99. It was a special order thing.

Dana 70 and Dana 80 are always full floaters.

I got 02 Camper special too. You can tell the difference if that outer part looks like the outer part on a 3500.

You've never seen the rear wheels with the hub caps off, on a 3500?

I just want to clear up a few things about hybrid Dana 80 axles. All Dana 80 axles used in second generation Dodges (diesels and v-10's) are hybrids including the 3500's. They uses a Dana 80 carrier and a 1.5 inch 35 spline axle shaft. The Dana 70U that is used in 2500 automatics are 1.41 inch 32 spline axles. The only differences from the Dana 80 hybrid used on some 2500's(manual transmissions and camper packages) and the Dana 80 hybrid used on 3500's are the outer wheel spindle, hub and brake assemblies to accommodate the duallies. The 3500 axle is also approximately 4 inches longer.
I'm not sure why there has been so much misinformation about 2nd gen axles.

It was 98 that I saw the outer wheel spindle that looked exactly like the 3500's. I assumed the 3500's were full D-80's and so was the odd ball 2500's that had the same spindles. I wondered why the D70 and D80 could hold the same lunch box lockers. So the axle shafts are actually D-70 axles, but 35 spline.

That's right the axles are 1.5 inch 35 spline which were also used in Dana 70's. Ford also used the same size axles from 1998 to 2003. Other than that Ford and GM (1992 to 2005) used 1.60 37 spline axles in their Dana 80's. Some had 8 lugs and some had 10.
One of the misconceptions is that the axles used in second gen. Dodges are the same as the axles used in the Dana 80 hybrid. Our trucks with Dana 70 rears are actually Dana 70U's. They have a smaller 1.41 inch 32 spline axle than a standard Dana 70. They also have smaller pinion bearings.
