I am currently looking at a 24v 2002 2500 and i did the key trick to see if any codes would come up...the P1693 code came up and then said done....do you think it would be worth while taking it to autozone to have it expounded upon beings it seems like there is more behind that code?

also the E-brake light flashes even though the brake is definitely off....i knew a friend whose 98 24v did the same thing? any ideas?...

the p1693 is a companion code. the truck has a code stored in the ecm for probably the transmission. you will need a scan tool to get the code and not just a code reader.

Your local auto parts store (O'reilly, Autozone, etc) will pull codes for free. . . If you can get your truck there?

if your trans is "built" the line pressure may be on the boarder of being to high. mine did that when i did the first build on it. if you had it at the dealership or any good repair facility they should have scanned it.

Quick question , What would be avrage oil presure for a stock 24 valve w/219000 miles ?
I only ask because I noticed this morning that my oil preasure gadge is reading 60-80 psi or 3/4 guadge with just the key on, and it dont move after i start it, or rev it ??
Would a oil preasure gaudge or sending unit trigger limp mode ??

That might be a bad sending unit, but it wouldn't trigger limp mode.
The bottom line is, you need your codes pulled.

Were you replacing parts just because you had P1693?

P0122 - Replace your APPS with a Timbo APPS.

P0500 - You we're probably just

anyone have a P0500 code?
