Boost Leaks?

I have a 2000 ram with a more than enough fuel and BD boots and an ATS 3 piece manifold. I have Scott(Graphicman) old Sledpuller 66, when he sold it to me it was set at around 50 lbs of boost. The problem I am having is that I cannot get more than 35 lbs of boost, it does not bleed off, but holds that 35 lbs. I have not adjusted the wastegate at all b/c I assume that if it was 50 on his truck it would be on mine too. Do I need to adjust the wastegate or check for boost leaks. Any input is valued.

Thanks,
Rick

is the boost elbow still on it?

you should have no problems hitting 50psi with your set-up....has it done it since you got it??

Nope not once, 35 is where it stops and holds...been that way since I got it. Just wondering if I don't have a leak somewhere.

That is kind of what I thought about it...it never come close to cleaning up the smoke with the ADR on it. Thinking I need to go BIGGER!

Your sig. says your bone stock if that is true I'm surprised you even hit 35psi.

pull the boos elbow off the turbo and make sure it's the one with a Tiny little hole in it

another trick is clamp off the hose going to the W/G and see if that helps

i did adjust the w/g to hit 50psi....so you should have no problem hitting it

Scott I am not blaiming you in anyway. I am just trying to figure out what is going on with the truck...I was thinking of getting one of the adjustable boost elbows to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks again Scott.

Well if the truck was all stock, I don't think it would have a Sled Puller 66 on it, I am pretty sure it would have a HX35 on it.

Trust me it has PLENTY OF FUEL!!

Thanks,
Rick

i would use V/grips or a small "c" clamp...it's hard to hurt that hose, it's pretty thick

i am 99% sure i left the boost elbow in it....but check it to be 100%
