Trouble starting??

I have a 2001 dodge with an quadzilla adrenaline and air dog 100 gph and after killing it every now and then when I try and start it it takes a while of turning it over or I have to bump the starter a few times and let my pump run. I think it may be my lift pump going out but not to sure any suggestions?

Probable fuel/air leak between VP and injectors, possible ECM problem

Yup, inspect all the fuel lines in the engine bay for moisture, also check the plumbing for the Air Dog into the tank. Does your pump sound louder than normal?

sucks air in and wont leak fuel. have to pressurize your fuel tank to a few psi 2-3 and it should leak a bit

take your compressor and a rag and put air through where you'd put fuel in at. put some air in and keep it pressurized for a few min and it should show you where its leaking from

yes best to do it after your truck was just running as there is fuel through all tubes.

This is exactly the trick I use when trucks come into our shop with the same symptoms you are describing. It works every time.

I have had a few trucks that I couldn't find a leak and it ended up being the pickup tube inside the tank. Some of them crack above the fuel level and will suck air. I have had a couple trucks that the top cap of the sending unit it's self was cracked or not seated properly after it was re-installed on the truck.

But you know now that the issue is between the Air Dog and the tank. That is why I asked if the pump was getting louder. When the Air Dog sucks air the pump noise will get louder.

Alright thanks! That's alot of help man I'm getting a bigger lift pump anyway because of my new injectors but I wanted to find the problem first. But what I don't get is how random the leak is sometimes it'll crank up fine then others it takes a few bumps. Sometimes right after I kill it from driving and try and start it like five minutes later it'll be all the way leaked down.
