Fass DDRP fuel pump

hi guys im very new to this forum and very new to diesel trucks. But i happen to have an 01 3500 cummins 24 valve and was wondering how to make it smoke more without maybe spending money at all? Now i have a Fass DDRP fuel pump that was installed for me and was wondering if there was any way to turn it up to maybe make it smoke? I remember the night after i go it installed for some reason my truck was pouring black smoke and then never did it again. My truck has never ever smoked and that was the first and only time. Thanks again!

That's a pretty stupid question to ask. Why do you want your truck to smoke? It may look cool but it gives diesel's a bad image. Also it's usually unhealthy if a truck's smoking that much. It means not enough air to fuel, and you're just burning fuel and sending EGT's out the window, burning up your turbo and asking for sh*t to break

But just to answer, NO you don't just turn it up. You need a programmer to tell the injection pump to pump out more fuel.

I suppose there's always those 18yo kids who ask the EXPERIENCED guys for answers and when they don't hear what they want to they get butt hurt

Buy and Edge and crank it up, have fun

Make that two d!cks that think this is stupid. Put a tire in the bed and set it on fire. Just as useful and lots of smoke.

Making power without smoke means you did it right.

Good luck.

True, i do not have any smoke, and good power, but if you only want smoke and don't care about your truck, just start unplugging stuff under the hood, it will smoke eventually.

ha ha ha ha spend 500 bucks on some 240 horse injectors and put a bag over your air filter thatll give you all the smoke you want smoke doesnt make your truck fast if you do it correctly you will start getting smoke with power and eventually youll realize that youll get tired of smokin a truck out and they keep beating you and all they have is a little love puff
