Talking I want 350-400 HP

OK guys I'm a 1st gen. guy That just bought a 2001 auto tranny and 130,000 miles.
Nice clean truck all stock. I'm interested in 350 - 400 hp
What are your suggestions?


1990 RAM 350 reg cab fleet side almost 800.000 miles.,1993 RAM 350 ex cab,dualy 234k, 1997 RAM 3500 ex cab dually 298.000 all stock. 2001 Ram 2500 2wd 130.000 no mods yet

Good lift pump. Boost, pyro, fuel pressure gauges.

TST powermax, and 150 hp injectors. Clean, simple, reliable. That will be about all fuel the stock turbo can handle.

Set up a trans fund, that truck will have enough power to kill it.

Go with what I have in my sig. If you go boosting power without a FASS or Airdog expect to buy a new VP-44 injection pump soon though.


2000 Dodge RAM 2500, 5.9 Cummins, 4x4, 5-Speed manual transmission. Silverline 4" exhaust, Juice with Attitude, Airdog 100, K&N air filter, 17" rims, big brake upgrade (2004 version), 08.5 steering upgrade, CPP 125 hp injectors. :

Id opt more for a set of larger injectors, and a timing box. No need to tap the pump if you dont have to.

I made 325hp with just 200's. A timing box would get you to 375hp.

fass or airdog, trans, gauges, high hp timing and fuel box or programmer, 50-100hp sticks, BHAF and exhaust, should be around 350-375

Yup. Something like a quad XZT+ and some good 7x.010s on the stock Turbo will put you at you HP goal......bye bye Trans!

I made 404 HP and 893 ft TQ with 60hp nozzles intake exhaust and edge comp with hot unlock. Iv switched chips and now am running the quad with ard and should be 450 or more truck pulls way harder with this chip, with that said the HP you are looking for will be getting close to the danger zone for your Trans and head gasket as I have had to do both on my truck. Head gasket would last longer then the Trans so just some other things to keep in mind. As said before first thing a airdog or FASS fuel system and gauges!

01 Ram, Built BD trans w/revmax stage 4 converter, 4.5" lift 35's on 20's hx35 swap, afe torque tube, fass150/95, QUADZILLA W/ADR and V2, 60hp nozzles, ARP 425 studs. BIG thanks SYSKIYOU DIESEL PERFORMANCE! Dyno'd 404hp & 900ft lbs

Thanks guys for all your input Ill take care of tranny first I have plenty
experience with these trannys moving 15 - 20,000 pounds 100s of thousands of miles. Just very little with 24v cummins up grades.
Again thanks and keep the input coming.
Its sounding easier than I expected and this truck will not be towing heavy
its just for me

I dont know what my hp is but from the sounds of it i'm right around the 400 stage. 110 injectors, quad adr., he351.

99 3500 ECLB w/mods, all supporting mods, and some extra's
95 3500 Chassis cab 11' bed no mods, and blow-by
