1839* egt too hot?

cant seem to keep the truck's egt cool, probe is pre turbo, laid into it through 4th gear today and the pulse read out was 3,736 rpm at 39lbs of boost and the temp was 1839*, coolant maxed at 201, oil maxed at 187, only thing that seems to get hot is the egt, and its every time i get into it is when i get hot, if i bog it down by shifting to a gear early and put my foot to the floor it just blows black as hell every where but my egt dont get bad, maybe 1100*, but if i run it hard at wot and shift around 3500rpm it is always above 1500*, any way to drop them? mods are below and current

Upgrade the turbo and intercooler your cookin those piston rings as it is right now
If you start playing around with injectors like your 150's you need to play with the turbo at the same time

Hx40 is no where near enough. I have basically the same setup as you and before I did my twins I I just had the hx35/40 hybrid and I saw 1800 degrees everyday ha. Did my twins and got it down to 1500 by the end of the quarter mile.

Sounds like you like to play.
Get a 62/71/14 turbo.

you may want to try tightening your gate. 39psi seems a little low.

i guess it depends if your hx40 has a wastegate. there is a threaded arm on your actuaror. take the pin off the gate arm, adjust it in or out to control how your gate opens.

if i were you. id try removing the boost elbow and replace it with a pipe plug. i plugged mine a few weeks after i bought my truck. made many 50psi pulls, no problems. (after i retorqued the studs to 125ft/lbs)

I ran 60 psi everyday without head studs or fire rings and had no problems. I ran 47psi on just my 35/40 hybrid forever also without problems
