Spool-aid/charge air line review

Well I finally got around to installing the spool-aid that I got from Mitch. I did some testing with it today and I was very impressed with the results. Normal driving the egts stayed about the same. I still have to test it on the highway to see if the cruising temps go down. I did a few wot runs and egts averaged 150* less with the spool-aid. I would hit on average 1600* before the spool-aid. With the spool-aid I was hitting right around 1450*. I would say that's a very noticeable drop by just adding that. Spool time didn't change to much, but that's not really what I wanted to achieve out of it. The main reason I wanted to try it was to see if it would lower my egts, and it did.
Thanks again Mitch for it!

Aren't you glad I told you to get it??

On a serious note... thats a pretty big drop in EGTs. Especially for what you paid.

Theres not much difference between our trucks... except your manual trans, ADR 4k, and cam. I like to keep tabs on your truck because it gives me some what of an idea of what my truck might be like. You've got a powerful, solid running rig Branden.

Our trucks are going to be pretty much the same once I get the cam. That's a project for later this year though. How long will it be until you get your truck back together?

The truck was together right before my leave ended, except I didn't get the cam or trans in, nor did I get the adrenaline installed. Since theres still major engine work to be done I decided to pull the head and send it to ZZ Fab, so a couple weeks ago my buddy pulled the head and prepped it for shipping, and sealed up the motor. It'll be all together again when ever the Marine Corps lets me get out... looks like febuary at the earliest.

Hopefully you get out earlier than that. I want to see what your truck can do. Do you think you will get any time between now and then to work on it?

Glad you like it! How did you route it? Up and over or down and under?

I will have to post a picture up. I actually have it in an S shape underneath. When I first had it all connected it was rubbing against the steering shaft. To fix it I twisted the intercooler pipe so it pulled the hose away from it.

Do you think the truck will be a little harder to start in cold weather?
