Patc

Who is running there parts or converters in there trucks? They have an awesome package deal with a billet flex plate, sonnax input shaft and tripple disc converter. All of that for just over $2k plus $150 core charge. I'm considering upgrading my single disc anyway, might aswell add the other parts aswell.

Never heard of them..Id tell you go with DTT but you have there single disk and I saw alot of posts that u had problems with it. But sometimes when it looks too good to be true its a fake/cheap thing.

I hope for the best tough and let us know

EDIT: where did you see the deal?

It is on there website. I know of one guy running there tripple disc converter with a super b special and 150hp injectors but I can't get ahold of him. He use to come on this site all the time but he hasn't been here for a while.

the deal is on there website about halfway down this page. #K48

Thank you for your reply. Did you have a say in where your converter stalled? Is it a tight or loose converter? How is lock up? Rough or soft? Did you use there billet flexplate? Sorry for all the questions but it is a good deal. lol

Im running them also. They dont sell "PATC" parts, they are all brand name of some sort. Most of the parts I bought were Sonnax, cant remember what the clutches/steels were and Midwest Torque Converters made their converters when I bought mine about 2 years ago. The only part I wasnt sure of who made was the billet flex plate. Ive noticed that recently they have different looking converters so Im not sure if they have changed companys or what. I WOULD buy their stuff over and over again, great customer service and they know what you need and dont need. They actually told me that I was WAY over building my transmission when I ordered my parts but thats the way I do things. Blake was who I was dealing with at PATC.

im not sure what the stall is as i got the trans and converter used. i would say its close to stock. i bought a dtt flex plate when i installed the trans. lock up kinda depends. if i don't use my switch its a little aggressive on lock up. the converter holds very well! it gets a workout on a regular basis.

This is excactly what I wanted. Real world experience. So I emailed them on sunday and This is what I got today.

"Joey,

The discount on the converter is when you buy an entire kit. We have 2 different shafts to offer for that, Both are billet that is both heat treated and Cryogenically treated. The sonnax one is a solid one piece shaft CNC'd from a single piece of billet steel, the other 2 piece while it is less expensive actually has a higher torsional load than the more expensive Sonnax shaft. The stall speeds are based upon K factor which is something I would be glad to go over with you over the phone.

stall speed is kinda relative to your truck and the mods done to your truck. call them and talk with a tech about what your goals are for the truck. its the best way to get a convertor set up. a well set up converter will make a world of difference as opposed to one that is not right for your set up.
