I was reading up on water methanol and I was wondering if y'all think it would be a good idea if I ran them in my truck, when pulling a trailer and stuff my egts can get a little high and my boost isn't really great. My mods are simply bhaf, mbrp 4incher, raptor 150, edge comp, and rv275 on a stock turbo. Let me know what y'all think I don't really know who makes a good set but I have heard about Snow. I am wanting extra hp but it really need my towing to benefit from this and I need something to help with my mpg.

I just got a snow mpg max system installed, If you have high egts or want more power I would HIGHLY recommend this system. it is expensive but the programmer it uses is amazing. It has 2 modes tow and mpg in tow mode it sprays based on egt (has its own pyro and boost sensor with gauges built in!) in mpg it sprays based on your settings it has 2 levels
level 1 sprays just alittle at low boost based on your inputs mine comes in at 7psi and goes 100% at 14psi
level 2 is crazy it sprays a ton this level is also based on your inputs and mine comes in at 25 psi
when level 2 comes in a little led on the controller lights up and it is like nitrous you can really feel the power at this level
it has 3 lines that hook up to your intake horn
line 1 is for mpg
line 2-3 do the same thing but you leave line 3 disconnected unless your making like 700 hp or so I was told I only have lines 1 & 2 hooked up
egts drop about 300 degrees.
Like I said I highly recommend this system you will not be dissapointed
go big or go home thats what I say, Ive seen the 7 gallon tanks alone go for $300 now add in the high pressure pump and all the engineering that goes into the controller and it is $1000 I think I paid like $900 ish from the guy I got it from. I mean what else were you thinking you were going to get?
You get what you pay for, this kit is the best there is. I guess if you need someting just to get your egts down you could just use some sort of boost sensor and buy make your own tank buy a pump buy the lines and spend a week tuning it, but this system will still be 10x better. If it were me I would save my money and buy one good setup instead of nickle and diming some pos diy pump boost sensor set up. I wish you lived closer I would show you in person just how impressive this system is.
also anybody who runs one of these setups will tell you its dumb to do it for the mpg's I also thought it would help my mpgs but its expensive to fill that tank all the time. I use just for power and egts. Maybe there is mpgs to be had but it would be cheaper to just buy more diesel fuel than a water methanol setup. Im not busting ur b@lls just telling you from a practical standpoint
Mine doesn't do a whole lot for smoke b/c its set to come hard under higher boost
I run snow boost juice I know you can make your own but I was told boost juice is the most effective.
I agree go big or go home but with the mods I have will it beinifit me enough to justify paying thT much?
it depends what kind of egt's are you seeing, how often do you get it that hot and for how long do you keep it that hot?
I only did it because I have a super b special with 7x12 inj and I heard these turbos get really hot when towing.
The only practical thing water methanol does is lower egt's.
yes it makes more power but other things are cheaper
yes it may give you more mpg but boost juice is $8 a gallon
