Breaking up under hard acceleration? Just installed quadzilla.

I installed a Quadzilla Adrenaline, and FASS HD 150 about a week ago and have been having some isues with it sputtering suring hard acceleration. I am not getting the defueling warning on the quadzilla, but it does sometimes drop levels on its own, then goes back up on its own right after.

My turbo wastegate is not connected, and I believe it just stays shut all the time. My autometer boost gauge will go up to about 28-32 PSI and violently shake back and forth around there. If I had the quadzilla setup to defuel anywhere under about 42 PSI it would start to defuel on me due to boost. Is the shakey gauge an indicator that its leaking somehwere and I need to go over it?

I'm also curious as to why I never got a code for overboost before the new setup was installed. I suspect there may be some sort of boost fooler, or possibly aftermarket programming on the PCM? I recently purchased this vehicle, and the old owner swapped this motor and ECM/PCM? in only about 2K miles before I purchased it. The motor is out of a 2002, the truck is a 99 so I figure at least the ECM, and possibly the PCM was swapped as well? Worried I may have some sort of programming stacked and I don't know it. A friend of mine said he thought it smoked more than a stock cummins should before we put the quadzilla on, and I had a code come up forunknown programming, which I suspected was due to the high idle.

My main issue now is while accelerating hard on level 5-7 it will break up and a loud popping backfiring type of noise will happen as it does this. It does not say its defueling on the quadzilla pulse V2 when this happens. Just looses power, off and on along with the popping sound. Also, if I run iut hard on 7-8 when I slow down the motor will shake and the rpm will jump up and down about 100 RPM for a few minutes till it clears itself up.

I'm worried I may hurt something if I keep messing with it without knowing exactly whats happening. Any advice would be great. I know there's a lot of info here, but didn't want to leave anything out.

Does it always do it at a specific RPM?
Does it happen at specific throttle inputs?
How much timing advance are you running? - I think I would try putting timing to 0 to see what happens

I wonder if maybe your VP44 is running out of fuel or something??

VP44 was a recent reman with updated electronics from one of the vendors recommended on here fromw hat I was told. I know the VP44 had a big remanufactured stick on it that I saw when tapping it. Has a new FASS150 on it. I'm extending some wires to the pressure sensor Saturday afternoon so I'll see what the fuel pressure gauge shows after that.

Seems to do it between 2500-3000 RPM I always get off it when it starts to do it. Also only when I get on the throttle hard. Seems much more likely when I am getting on it hard off the line, when rolling it seems the faster I go the less likely it is to do it. Hasn't happened at highway speed at all that I can think of. Mainly when I get on it really hard from a stand still.

Timing should be at whatever the quadzilla has it doing as far as I know.

I was doing some reading and suspect it may be torque management as the computers are from an 02 to match the motor I'd imagine.
