tunnel ram?

I see DAP sells a tunnel ram.

Is this intake all one piece? In pics it looks like its a plate, and a piece for the grid heater to mount on. Two pieces.....?

Noticeable difference in performance? worth $225?

Thanks for any info!

I got one from jkidd dieselautopower.com Iam looking very forward to gettin it put on. Iam sure my engine will thank me. Iam sure there will be a noticable difference with it and the intake horn also some rv275 injectors in the near future.

The Tunnel Ram is a great addition. It is one piece and yes it is a plate with a rise for the heater to mount to. It really helps with air flow especially to the front and rear cylinders. You will notice that your turbo will spool a bit quicker and you may see a small reduction in EGT.

Cummins Fanatic go with at least 100 hp injectors. I was looking at your profile but the tranny wasn't mentioned. With your other mods you should go with at least 100's. I went with 100's and now wish I had gone with 150's. You won't have the RV275's for long before your thinking about upgrading

Maybe it's because your truck is already where everyone else would like to be With 540 HP it would be hard to notice any small difference

Its more about efficiency than power. Lower EGT and faster spool up. Fuel is what makes power.

Like Jacob said, and my dyno results have proven. It hasn't added any power in my case. It's just improved spooling and I've noticed reduced smoke. It's a good addition, provided that you're looking for those two items. Any other returns are just "icing on the cake".

Lets say a guy has over worked his stock turbo and with a adrenaline and 100HP injectors is making 400HP at 1600 degrees

By going to a Super B turbo he can make 415-420HP at 1350 degrees

Its the fuel that adds most of the power, but with lower temps he can use the power longer improve efficiency.

Heres a big restriction in the intake system

Here is how the tunnel ram can help

I really liked mine. I seemed to help spool up and cool down EGTs.
