the 3rd gen. on the banks for instance they have different part numbers. does anyone know the real differences between the 2. i can get a high ram for a good deal but its for a 3rd gen. what to see if it will fit

I'm running a 2nd gen intake horn on my 3rd gen, but I'm not sure how much room there is to go the other direction on yours It definitely was a lot of fun trying to pull the boot far enough over to make it over the bead with the clamp, but I'm thinking you can make it work if you tried.

it had a crack in it and has been growing. and i took it off to do my injectors and it came off in 2 pieces

I didnt' see any difference with my banks one. It sure looked cool when you popped the hood and anyone that hasn't been living under a rock knows what "Banks" is. That's about all it did for my truck. hahaha But if yours is toast, and you can score it for a decent deal, i'd do it. There were no negative effects on my truck at all.
