count me as confused.

I am gonna laugh my A$$ off when edge comes out with directions built in and everyone goes "wow that's a great idea"

I just don't understand how the "shape" of the device dictates the functionality and features it provides.

I was saying a phone on the window looks like a old person thing they would do.

Some people care how there trucks looks others dont.I would expect the functionality to be the same as the way they currently have it on android otherwise it wouldnt be a upgrade and more of a company issue.

That's why I am confused they look the same. Same form factor same screen same gauges.

If anything a phone is more elegant since it was produced in a manner to attract the masses of hip young people. I would say the CTS screen looks less modern than a cell phone.

Prime example.

7" tablet for just $50 bucks. Way bigger than a crappy Edge monitor. 10x less than what Quadzilla is even asking.

Here is even Android stereo with Quadzilla loaded as an App.

So back @QuadzillaPower I would look at the possible line of mounting options for different devices. cellphones, tablets, etc. Allow the purchaser an option in a type of devices and sizes. This opens the door for customizing and mounting solutions.

Or spend the money to create a dash modification that allows for a clean mounting option for IPADs or Tablets. Could be sold to all Gen 2 owners, not just Quad users.

Quadzilla Stand-Alone Touch Screen Monitor

My two cents

The very reason i decided to buy the quadzilla adr w/iquadbt over anything else is because of the fact that it does not have a proprietary interface(and some good advice, thanks jake). The fact that i can change my screen and mounting quickly and cheaply is what appeals most. Aside of course from tuning options. I picked up a refurb 7.1" android tablet w/intel quad core for $32 and a bolt in adjustable mount for $20. If i don't like the size of the screen or the mount i can change it for cheap! Or if the screen gets stolen its cheap to replace. Guess what I'm saying is. If its not broke, don't fix it. Time and money would be much better spent on improving software.

Im sure all of this has been pointed out. Just my opinions

And what would you be willing to spend on something like that? How many other 2nd gen (98.5-02) willing to buy it as well. I bet that list is EXTREMELY short.

Not trying to shoot down your idea either, just to look at the big picture.

While that is a fine idea, we can't cater to each user specifically with something like that. I personally can't stand the iPad's mounted in the dash, and it makes me wonder how many other's feel that way.

All comments and ideas are welcome, but this is simply a poll to see how many are interested in a stand alone monitor.
