Performance Electronics HP Ratings
A little info for those shopping and comparing availiable electronic power adders for 98-02 VP44 Trucks. These are manufactures claimed hp gains. Some of these Items may be discontinued, but can still be purchased used. Some ratings listed may be "to the best of my knowledge" and will be noted with an asterisk (*). Format is HP/TQ Edge MileageMAX- 35/?? Edge EZ- 65/180 Edge Juice w/ Attitude - 120/350 Edge Comp- 120/350 Quadzilla Max Mileage Module - 35*/?? XZT+ - 65/200 Xzillaraider - 120/350* Adrenaline - 180/420 TST TST Powermax - 60/160 TST PM2 - 90/250 TST PM3 - 120/360 TST PMCE (Competition) - 180/450 TS Performance TS MVP - 100/??? To break down the different types of Electronics : Programmers (download tuning through the OBD port) : SMARTY Hypertech Superchips CAN-BUS boxes (connect to the MAP and Data Port): Edge mileageMAX Edge EZ Quad MMM Quad XZT+ TS MVP Van Aaken PowerPuck Wiretap boxes (connect to MAP, Data Port, and Tap the Fuel Solenoid Wire on the IP): Edge Juice Edge Comp Quad Xzillaraider (no data port connection*) Quad Adrenaline TST PM, PM2, PM3, PMCE (no data port connection) BlueChip APB, FMS, Redline (no data port connection*) The boxes that don't add timing, don't connect to the data port.
