Exclamation Chip Stacking?? Look Here!!

Ok, I have seen a TON of "Can i stack this with that threads". (mainly a smarty with some type of fuel/timing box). So, I thoughs Id do my best to clear this up a little.

To make power you need 2 things, fuel, and timing. Some boxes add both (Edge Comp, Quadzilla ADR., or the Smarty). Some add just fuel (Blue Chips Redline, TST PM3) some add just timing (Edge EZ or Power Puck)

You can stack more than one fuel application. Like a Redline/Smarty (on the even numbers). Timing on the other hand, you can only have one application. A Smarty (on sw9) will not stack with an Edge Comp. You will over time the engine, and could seriously hurt it.

You can only tap your pump wire with one box. A TST PM3 will not stack with a Blue Chip Redline because both need pump taps. The same things goes for OBD2 programers, you cant stack a Smarty with a Superchip. So, one pump tap at a time, and one programer at a time.

Dodge Cummins Stacks

I hope that helps a little, and gets you started in the right direction. Happy stackin'

I've recently heard that you can stack a Smarty on something with timing and use the Smarty timing. That the VP can't provide enough timing to hurt anything.

So you are saying that the VP-44 can't physically provide enough timing advance to hurt anything? I'm not sure I buy that. I've heard some pretty bad timing rattles before.
