Ganzey's Build thread

I should have started this a long time ago, since my truck is barely even the same as it was 4 months ago, but anyways im finally getting around to it, and i will update as i do more stuff to it.

I bought this truck back in June, it was a 1 owner from a guy who was aprox. 75 years old. He maintained it meticulously, with all records for every single thing done to it from oil changes to repairs.

I purchased it with 282k miles on the clock, it was bone stock minus a 4" MBRP stainless exhaust, Edge EZ, and industrial injection VP44. Based on the service record, in the last 5k miles it had the vp44 installed, a new radiator, water pump, batteries, clutch, alternator.

My goal for this truck is somewhere in the neighborhood of 600hp over the next couple years. i bought it as a daily driver/pulling truck. i live half a mile from work so DD'ing a pulling truck isnt an issue for me LOL.

So far, ive done a bit of work to it, some of the parts ive put on it are:

Edge juice w/attitute and CTS2 monitor, with hot unlock
Fass 150
DAP 125hp vco injectors
ARP Head Studs
Crazy Carls BHAF
Scheids Street Lightning turbo (nothing special, just a 57/65/14)
Kenny's Pulling Parts Triple Disc Street Puller Clutch
2" Wheel Spacers
2.5" Leveling kit

I've done some other stuff to it while installing all that stuff, like a rear main, trans fluid change, 3rd gen rims, 35" tires, ball joints, etc

I will update as i do more stuff to it, but i doubt much will happen over this winter

Anyways, time for some pics

This is the day i brought her home

and how she sits right now

Nice looking truck! How quickly does the turbo spool? Does it keep the EGT's in check with those injectors?

I looked at the Scheid web site and there isn't much info for that turbo. Is that basically the same S300 that BD calls a Super B? I was considering a Super B if I go with some slightly larger injectors.

i love em, ill try to find some more pics of how they sit, they do stick out a bit, but without them the tires rubbed on the upper control arm, then after i put them on the tires rubbed the fender, so in came the leveling kit

Its a little grabby taking off, and nearly impossible to put it into 1st or reverse when its running, but ive been told it may get better when its broken in, only 75 miles on it so far, but man this thing grips like you wouldn't believe. only noticeable gear rollover is in 6th gear under 50mph

from looking at specs, yes they are basically the same turbo, except this one is may have a different comp cover, all it says on it is 'schwitzer', unlike the super B's
