I have been looking at silverline's new 6inch mitercut stack tips with their universal y-pipe system, but MBRP makes the whole system 6inch mitercut polished tips with y-pipe, and downpipe and everything...turbo back....what system would you guys get?

My best friend has a 6 inch single miter MBRP and he loves it. It sounds Bad A**. Never have heard a Silverline stack but MBRP makes a great exhaust! MBRP would get my vote.

The Silverline are probley good stacks but in my opion MBRP is the way to go. It will sound alot better then your 3".

The 3" wasn't my idea...it was on the truck when I got it...I thaught well hey atleast it's a straight pipe. But it cracks too much when you get on it for me...It's loud...but sounds like a hoped up gas motor when you get on it sometimes...till the turbo hits...then it's just that pure cummins grunt sound... But you can definetly tell that the 3" is holding that motor back a lot.

the bigger the stack or stacks. the more hollow sounding it will be. i have two trucks. one with 5" stacks and the other with 6"s the 5"s are louder sound, more of a roar. the 6"s are deeper and bellows more.

I've heard many trucks with 6" and I thaught they sounded better than the trucks with 5", but I'm gonna need those big pipes for what I'm gonna do with this truck..horsepower wise.., and for the sound I'm looking for...
BTW..one question how many of you guys change your tips on your stacks occasionally...just for s...? I plan on running the 6" mitercuts in the spring/summer/fall..and change them to either 6" aussies, bullhaulers, or turnouts...I don't know yet I havent decided....

The MBRP stacks themselves are polished stainless, I would think that the finish would wear off them after awhile. I think that Grand Rock stacks are just chrome, so they would last longer. Might want to think about getting a MBRP kit with Grand Rock stack tips.
MBRP stacks use a 4" bed kit, Grand Rock uses 5", so the stacks won't interchange without adapters.
