what's the name???

i have a 99 24 valve, and the injector pump is shot, i can only drive around town at about 20mph and slowly increases speed....sucks....i just want too know whats the name of the pump..is it (vp44), because i can get that one used for less that $300.00, off a recked 99 with 117k miles on it.....should i do it

It is a VP44, but I dont think I would do a used pump with that kind of miles.

my truck is a auto, and is that around the miliage they tend to go out??? and whats a good one to get...also where's a cheep spot to get one

100K is about the lifespan of the VP44.

What codes do you have on the truck? Any boost leaks?

Cheap spot to get one? There's no such thing as that for the VP44. Look to spend $1K min.

po-216 fuel timing, and i have an exhaust leak where my down pipe meets 5'' straight pipe, where would it leak at?

P0216 means your VP44 is at death's door. Exhaust leak past the turbo wouldn't affect it's ability to build boost. Leaks that would affect boost would be - head to manifold seal, cracks in the manifold, manifold to turbo seal, and the turbo exhaust housing. On the charge air side, from the turbo compressor housing all the way to the intake of the engine. (several boots, pipes, and the intercooler between)

But that code really means your VP44 is dead. Especially with how it's acting. If it's that bad, I'm surprised it's still running.
