Ordered a few parts today for the cold air plumbing. The exhaust downpipe will be a modded 3rd gen.

I now have a supply of flanges for the hx40 and HE351 that can be welded onto an existing 4"DP. Still looking for a good supply of V-band clamps for the larger flange. Those things are pretty expensive.

Good deal. The pipes came in today, but my clamps and hoses are still enroute.

I'll be using 3" mandrel bent pipe. I've got the pipe, but my silicone hoses haven't made it here yet.

How'd you control the VGT? Or did you just set it up fixed?

Oh, got bad news today. Checked the shipping noticed on my boots. They're not scheduled to get here until the 3rd. I'll be heading out of town end of next week for the entire weekend. I will be home the following week/weekend though. Sorry for the delay. Best friend is getting married and we're going on a road trip with him.

we pulled the OE controller of and controlled the stepper motor with our own standalone. We installed a MAP sensor to control boost. the hardest part we are having in the rate at which the vanes open. open them to fast and you drop boost and have to build it back up. open them too slow and your boost spikes. and before anyone give me about calling them vanes i used the term very loosely. i know the holset uses a nozzle. its seems to work well on his car. but hes only using 18 psi. we are wonder how its gonna work when its pushed to the 45-50psi range. our current test appears that it will work well. but when it gets on the truck in another story.

i did though see where a gentleman with a 12v put a VGT on his 12v but he used a regular wastegate actuator like what we are already used to. was kinda thinking about that too. But with our electric setup i can adjust pressure with the potentiometer we installed. also with this knob we installed a safeguard. if the controller see X amount of volts it will default to full open to protect the engine

any updates? very interested in doing this with a set of 100hp sticks, and eventually slinging a k31 or s474 underneath
