i'm kind of confused. are you wanting to put lights on your tow mirrors or cab lights on your roof?

If tow mirrors you could wire it into ur head light switch or just on a toggle switch, or with ur ignition. just some thoughts, all would work. all personal preference though.

If your talking about cab lights. Then as far as routing the wires you pull down your headliner and run the wire down your a-pillar. I've saw the recon kit done on a 06 and it had a factory plug already there for the cab lights not sure if the 2nd gens do or not. If not you just run it to a illumination wire that has power when your lights are turned on.

If you take a little time you can remove the mirror from the base. Then if you are doin the rectangular lights like on the dually fenders, then you drill a hole for the wire and a couple pilot holes to srew the light on. Then run the wires with the mirror wires to an illumination wire like stated above. Or same steps for the little round ones like posted above.
you could take it to the next level and do dual element lights like for a trailer and wire into your blinkers
I was plannin on doin this soon when I get some days off so when I do it I will try to take some pics and post up!
