How do I unlock truck door W/O key???

My keys got lost. I have an old worn out key that starts my truck, but now it wont unlock my door.
How do I unlock my truck door thru the window weather stripping???
I have been trying for awhile with a coat hanger. I have moved the door knob, but not enough to lift it up.
Thanks JJ

The nearest dealer ship is an hour away. And I have no way to get there until next week with my company truck. Can the dealer ship cut me a new key from my vin number???
Thanks for your reply.

Call around to local parts stores and ask if they sell 'slim jim's'. They work well on standard non-electric door locks but can cause (expensive) damage to electric lock mechanisms if not used with care and knowledge of the locking system. I got mine about 15 years ago for 5 bucks. Never have had to use it for my own vehicle but have opened a few stranded motorist's doors with it over the years.

I called the dealer ship, and they can cut me a new key with a vin number and proof of title. Problem is, Is that my registration is in the truck. So I guess I'll go and purchase a slim jim. We only have one small auto parts store in town. I hope they have one.
I really don't want to go in through my slider and break my latch.
Thanks guys.

I just got in with a wedge, WD40, coat hanger and a little swearing. Took a while, but I got it.
Thanks for your replies.

Ah, the old fashioned way. There is a plus to having standard door locks in situations like this. Now put a spare key somewhere on the truck.

Cant tell you how many times ive locked myself out of a vehicle in the past. Now I always have one of those magnetic hide a key boxes and it deffinitly has come in handy once or twice.

You could also go to most hardware stores they carry keys for this body style, and have them copy the worn out key, it won't be perfect but usually the sharper edges on the new key will be enough to unlock the doors and use in the ignition
