turn signal and hazard light trouble

Hello, I have a stock 99 CTD 4wd auto. My turn signals stopped working out of no where yesterday. the hazards don't flash either. when the hazard button is pushed, the lights will turn on but not flash. when the turn signal switch is pressed nothing happens and there is no clicking sound. I have checked and tested the #4 20amp fuse under the hood as well as the #10 10amp fuse in the junction box and they both are ok. I replaced the blue square flasher relay with a new black one from advanced auto parts and there is no change. I have tested everything i can think of and am stumped.... ANY help is greatly appreciated.

I had the exact same thing happen. In the engine compartment, in the fuse box there is a fuse for the hazards. I think it says hazards, I went to remove it and when I grabbed it the hazards started to work. It also controls the turn signals too. Mine is loose or something but I go it to work by moving it around. I'm going to fix it the right way when it gets a little warmer out. It might be a loose wire or something. good luck

Thanks guys. I'll try to test the switch in the column tonight. I haven't found any loose wires yet but I'm going to keep looking! Thanks

New switch and flasher, checked and tested all connections and fuses 3 times. Still no luck. Hazards turn on but don't flash. Nothing for turn signals... I'm lost

are you using led bulbs? that would cause a regular flasher relay to do the same.

I have heard that the flashers and turn signals hook into your lights somehow and something there could have gone wrong. So I guess what you donut take off the switch panel and test all those wires?
