block heater

alright so a lil while back i went to unplug my truck one morning and the ground prong broke off so now every time it rains or is wet i dont plug it in cause i dont wanna get shocked lol so what do i have to go about doin to get this fixed? do i have to replace the entire block heater? do i just put a new end on it? i wanna do it right i dont want any afro engineering i want it to hold up and not give me a very high risk of gettin my a$$ fried


2000 24v 4 inch straight pipe 5 inch stack, edge boost elbow, AFE cold air intake, raptor 150 1/2 inch lines, BD stealth cover QUADZILLA ADRENALINE PULSE V2

take off the cord, it will unscrew from the block by the oil filter via a silver 'nut' of whatever you call it. you can get a whole new cord for i think $20-30 or so

I recommend you replace the block heater cord. It is not difficult at all to do. You can purchase them through Genos Garage or your local Cummins dealer. I have attached a link to the correct part from Genos:
