Question Door speaker w/INFINTY system????

Drivers door speaker decided to quit on me yesterday. So after some investigation, the magical box (amp i assume?) mounted to my speaker is the culprit. I have a set of alpine 6X9's from my friends 97 that i was planing on puting in. How can I replace my fac. speakers with the alpines and do i have to get a used magic box first? also will the 6X9 fit the rear doors?

bump! because i like to know this too. Theres alot of wires coming off the "amp" seems like you would want to keep it or buy a small amp to power the aftermarket ones

the 6x9 will fit and if u just cut the amp wirs cable that goes to the speaker then just wire the speakers wires together it will work but if u want more sound just got buy an after market one if ur just wanting sounds the from 6x9s just get a cheap amp like a 200watt one from wallmart
