Blowing Fuses

I am new to this forum. Especially this section. I have never had an issue with my 01 but recently I have been blowing the tail light fuse. It will usually last a few days but eventually blows. It happened the first time while towing my camper and a car pulled out in front of me and I had to lock er up. The Prodigy brake control worked...then did not. Well, actually the controller will work manually, just not by pushing the brake.
While the fuse is blown, I can manually make the lights work via the brake control but that is getting old fast. I checked the trailer plug at the bumper, all looks good. Also, I believe the brake control is a totally different circuit, so I do not feel that is the issue.
I have also checked all the bulbs in the tail lights and cargo light area. The cargo's were burnt out and I replaced. No visual signs of a direct short.
Where else can I check? Does any one know how to find a short without tracing wires? Does anyone know where the brake circuit is grounded?
Thanks for any input.
Lost,
Aaron
