3rd Gen Wheels on 2nd Gen Trucks

I would like to upgrade my brakes with 3rd gen brakes and I am looking for 17" 3rd Gen wheels. Do all 3rd gen wheels fit 2nd gen trucks"?

Doing the search on the forum suggests that all 3rd gen wheels will fit 2nd gen trucks. But have not found a definitive answer and of course I don't want to spend the money and find out the wheels don't fit.

I am running a 3rd gen 17" steel wheel as well. the wheel stud spacing is all the same, and that's all you have to worry about!

Thanks to all of you for the info. I don't mind my 16" wheels but I really want to upgrade the brakes; so I will be going to 17" wheels. Now to find a reasonably priced rims off of a 3 Gen truck. thanks again, BRO

Check out your local dealer, I got my 17in 3rd gen rims for my half ton there at $155 a piece, thats with brand new goodyear rubber! They were a trade in cause the guy who had them before wanted 22's instead.
