Welcome to the club! My truck now, with over 200K on the clock, handles the best it's been since I've owned it, almost 8 years now. Here's a list of things I've done, and/or added throughout the years. Borgeson steering shaft(little if no help), Steering box adjustments(little if any help), Darin's Steering Stabilizer(big improvement), Moog track bar(wore out). And this summer I installed Thuren 0-3" track bar(noticeable improvement), Maxx Link front sway bar links(great improvement), the factory ball and socket links are junk IMHO, new steering dampner, and new shock absorbers(Bilsteins).

My truck came from the factory with the HD T-style steering linkage, rather than the light duty inverted Y-style. The tie rod ends have been replaced since I've owned the truck. Even with the HD system, wander was there. Finally, I can just sit back and relax and hold the steering wheel, without constantly sawing it back and forth just to drive straight!

Relating what I did to my truck. Don't know if it'll work for everyone. Definitely a small fortune invested. I'm convinced it's a combination of components that causes the wander, and death wobble. By design, these beasts are nose heavy, and it takes it's toll.

look into a BD steering box brace, i swear by mine. ive put all thuren steering( heim joint tie rod ends, drag link ends, and thurens adjustable trac bar) and all that was a noticeable improvement. put the steering box brace on there and WOW. deffinaltly shouldve been on the truck from the factory. just to get an idea what it accually does, have a buddy sit in the drivers seat and rock the steering wheel back and forth and watch the frame rail where the steering box is bolted to. if the wander in the steering real bad. the frame should look as if its twisting.

There is an adjustment on the steering box that will take out steering wheel play. It is an allen head bolt with a locking nut around it, directly on top of the box. Just turn it in a little at a time untill you think it is better. You have to becareful not to turn it too much or it will ruin stuff and you will be oversteering a bunch. Hope that helps. I'm not saying that there couldn't be other problems, but that sure helped my truck out alot.

Check the steering column for any play. When I was a mechanic for a living I had that fix one truck. Track bar is what I would like to suggest but you said you already got one. Good luck

Do you just take all that crap apart and find the shaft and see if its moving out of the way it should be

Chris have to talked to the Thuren guys? Does that convert you over to a 3rd gen style steering set up? Have you replaced all the joints and crap that I am about to do? What all does that kit have in it?
