I already replaced that with two of them and same thing, the one in my durango worked fine but still had same problem when I tried it in the truck.

Next thing to do is start tracing/walking the wires. You'll find a spot where something got pinched or rubbed and they are contacting each other.

wipers

Thanks for your help. I have been tracing wires for four days now, and now when you cut the headlights on the wipers work and the right headlight is really dim. Also when the left turn signal is on the horns themselves click so power is obviously going through them. I cannot find a good schematic to see where the wires for the horn, wipers, and headlights all are together. It is like they are searching for a ground maybe. This has truly got me stumped without getting a good schematic, I called dodge and I might be able to get them to copy one for me. Thanks again

I'm having the same issue... here is a link to someone on this forum who fixed this problem electrical issues?? horn/wipers I have been pouring over the schematics in the factory service manual and nothing has been sticking out except the ground mentioned in the above link. I quickly cleaned the post and even went so far as to put a jumper between this eyelet and the battery ground terminal but it didn't help. I think that the wires in the eyelet itself are corroded bad... If I get a chance I may pull it apart this weekend.

I agree with you that the system is searching for ground. However I think it could be a combination between trying to find a ground and a bad multifunction switch. In the topic I referenced above the guy replaced the switch and fixed his ground issues.

Well, I had some time today and decided to do a little diagnosing. I knew that if I removed the bulb from the left turn signal and wiper issue ceased that it would have to be a ground problem. I tried this and the left blinker no longer triggered the wipers so I decided to do a little better job checking the grounds.

So I was wrong about the multi-function switch... here was the culprit:

This is the ground that the wiring diagrams refer to as "G100" it is located on a stud directly underneath the driver's side battery tray. It is the main grounding node for many circuits: horn, turn signal, and wipers to name a few. The eyelet itself doesn't look bad but, as I suspected, the wires were heavily corroded. Some of circuits were functioning properly while, I believe, others formed an insulating layer of corrosion around them. After I cut the eyelet off I found that many of the wires were brittle. As I stripped the wires I found that many had a thin layer of oxidation between the copper strands and the insulation. I cleaned the wires thoroughly and crimped a new set of eyelets on them (I had to use two crimps since I did not have a single crimp large enough to accept all of the conductors.)

After putting the truck back together, I found that everything functioned normally.

This is an inexpensive fix and is definitely worth looking into before replacing the multifunction switch. To replace the eyelet will probably take an hour or so since the battery and it's tray will need to be moved off to the side to allow for some working space.
