You will get sick of the loudness if you do any kind of long drives. I had str8 5" with a 8" stack and it was UNGODLY loud! Now ordering a 5" underneath with a nice muffler.

honestly, the loudest my truck, or any one ive ever heard in person (aside from pullers, im talking dd here) would be my last combo. 4'' tb mbrp cool duals, ATS pulse flow manifold, volant cai, 150 horse injectors, no silencer ring. the 150s give it a much deeper tone. alot more authoratative. the manifold has ALOT to do with loudness. thats y 3rd gens sound like poop for the most part, the mani design is a little lame. thats y people swap on 2nd gen manis onto em all the time. before i put the s300g on (which sad to say made it ALOT quieter) at about 1800 to 2400 rpm my truck would make that horrid cackle that would make people rubber neck as far as you could see. very evil noise. some of the log style exhaust mani's do the same. just my .02

Now I know that many on here will jump on me because my stacks are too high, but hear me out. I run a BHAF, silencer ring removed, 4" downpipe into 5" straight pipe into 6" Aussies sticking about 16" above the cab. The noise is incredible outside of the truck, but inside is barely noticable. I can hear a little turbo whistle and noise when I get on it, but cruising at 65mph I can't hear the exhaust inside the cab at all. To me it's the best of both worlds, I can be loud and obnoxious to everyone else while being nice and peaceful inside of my cab.
