BD vs. PSC steering box brace

found this today...
(SB-100) Dodge 4WD '94-'02 2500 & 3500 Steering Stabilizer [SB-100] - $169.95 : PSC Motorsports, Off-Road Steering Experts

does anybody have one? Is the BD version worth the extra 55 bucks?

Get the PSC! They are exactly the same just different paint! I wish I would of found the PSC before I bought my BD brace, oh well, they do make a hell of a difference though! Good luck.

I have the PSC, bolted up just fine and way cheaper. I think it help just a little, I believe it helps prevent damage more. Also helps with big tires.

It's supposed to make it track straighter & help lessen the wear & tear on the rest of the front suspension.

Mine was all over the road until I replaced 4 ball joints 1 outer tie rod, all Moog & a Rancho steering stabilizer. Also a front end alignment. It drive at least 90% better.

With one of those bars, I bet it would drive & track as good as my Honda's.

It does make a difference, but some trucks may or may not notice an improvement. the brace stiffens the frame area, and provides support for the lower bearing in the steering box, if you have other components that are bad ie, ball joints /trackbar/tierods. you WILL not see any difference. if you look at the steering set up you can easily see how the load is placed on the pitman arm/shaft, it will edventually tearout the lower bearing. the brace remove the load from it.

To check to see if you box has play in the lower bearing, with the engine off and wheels straight ahead hit the pitman arm with the palm of your hand where the drag link connects to it, if bad you will see movement AND hear a loud "clunk"

both the brace and the trackbar (3rd gen) will drastically eliminate steering wander.
90% of most steering issues is the trackbar.

Have you checked a price on the original brace made by Solid Steel Industries? The others are copies, SSI may be cheaper, not sure.
