OBD II Port

My OBD port decided to fall apart today. So I was looking at my brothers 01. Do the wires go in the same places on both trucks in the port, or are they different. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this!!

Thank

Grab a Dodge FSM and in the wiring pages the pin out is listed for the OBD II port under the dash with wire colors...

Well I am getting a new one today, I hope, it broke the pieces that hold it together, amazing how stuff just comes apart and won't go back.

Plugged the smarty in, took it off, and all was fine, then poof, it hit the floor. I am having some great luck here lately, guess it broke when the smarty was pulled off, but was hanging on by a thread or something. I don't know, it will be fixed sometime lol

The smarty was already in, I was trying to put it back stock, cause I needed the truck to pull some trailers with, and didn't really want the smoke out all the time, but now it is down until I get the parts to fix it.

Well I got my new OBD II put in today, and it still won't work. We checked the voltage on it and when grounded to something other than the port it has 12 volts, when grounded with the port it has 9.6 volts. So what volts should I see at the port? is what I am getting low, also what would be the best fix for this?

THanks for any help with this one.

Ok... The last time I looked in the Dodge FSM... The ground for the cab is on the drivers kick panel.

But here is the book for you info...

Well got the volts right, and got everything hooked back up. Hooked the smarty to it and it comes on when it wants too now. I don't know what is going on with it. But hopefully will find the problem soon.
