do you think this fix will cure my drop back at hiway speed with tcc locked i feel a slight bump and the accel pedal is dead but truck continues to run steady.lifting my foot for 10 sec and stepping down 1/2 way results in a downshift and then normal pedal response.apps switch,lift pump and vp-44 were replaced 28k ago with ecm reflash.thanks and keep up the great articles......dollar bill

That sounds like Limp mode to me , Better scan your codes something not right with that

Mine hunts between 3rd and 4th. Only when towing my toy hauler up grades. Tranny can't decide if it wants to stay in 3rd or 4th. A real pain in the

seems to be what mine does also dodge-boy... does it worse w/ a load but also will do it just drivin down the road w/o a trailer. weather gets better and iam gonna try seperating the wires like they have been talkin about..

I did do the tin foil wrap trick and the last time I pulled my trailer it did not seem to act up. We'll see how long or if that really helped out.

I have the goofy 1-2 shift back-n-forth at light throttle, I have a BD valve body. they told me to adjust my throttle pressure 1 1/2 turns in. I just haven't done that yet, might do it next weekend.

poor battery connections can cause a hunt too. make sure that they are clean and tight

I did the throttle adjustment and now it is shifting fine.

Hey DM can you put this in Cumminsdatabase.com? It would be alot easier to follow if it was in one nice article like the ones there. Just my .02 How do I reseet the APPS?

i have the same problem in my 2001 2500 but its at 35 wheni am driving light, it cant make up its mind, would doin this help my tranny?

I had my tranny flashed at a dodge dealer and since havent had a problem with the 2-3gear searching... And theres always the old check the alternator output I guess..
