I paid 299.99 for it shipped to my house and then found out when I went to install it at some time or another a in-tank pump was installed in my truck so I needed to order a draw straw now I am waiting on that to install my kit. I ordered it on monday so I know it will be here by wednesday or thursday at the latest(draw straw). Wide open diesel is an awesome place to deal with I ordered it on friday and it was at my door step monday morning (fuel pump).

Yes the kit will support 600 HP. Seen several 3rd Gen truck running 600 hp running the Walbro pumps. We normally set the fuel pressure to 16 PSI, but you can adjust the pressure to what you want it to be( regulator will range from 12 PSI to somewhere around 20 or 21 PSI). The lowest I have seen it drop is 1-2 PSI. We installed one in an 01 here that has 90 hp injectors, quadzilla xzilleraider, and vulcan draw straw. We are running it at 16 PSI and it will drop to 15 PSI WOT.

So most of the kits are preset to 16psi? Everyone I have heard that has installed one hasn't had to adjust it.

Yes most are set to 16 PSI. Sometimes you might have to adjust, but most times not.

I just got mine installed Friday! I'm very pleased with it. I had a factory intank pump so I had to use the Draw Straw II. I've got a solid 17psi at idle at 16-17psi at all loads and speeds.

I'm happy to see that after all my arguing with people about the Walbro being a good pump, that they are coming to fruition.

I've been running a Walbro 392 since 2000. How long did your fuel pump last ?

Big Dog Fuel System

I purchased a Big Dog Fuel System from www.wideopendiesel.com.This was the system for me after very much reading and research. The price is right too. I feel it is the best buy for the money. It is based on the Walbro GSL 392. They have been in the pump business for years and have a great track record. The Big Dog is built with all top quality parts.
I spoke with Jason Revis at Wide Open Diesel. Jason was very helpful, and answered all my questions. I ordered the Big Dog and it arrived 3 days latter. Now thats fast service for delivery to Montana!! I would recommend this system to anyone. Price for price it cant be beat. Also Jason is a great guy and I made another Friend.
Here in Montana it is still winter, But as soon as it warms up I will put this system in. I will let you all know how it does when installed.
Have a Good day
john
