Update....

Well guys, just as an update....motor is out and block, head, crank, and pistons are at the machine shop which is SKYTOWER MACHINE SHOP in Stanford, KY.

List of machine work being done.....

HEAD- magnafluxed, pressure checked, hot tanked. NOTE* head was oringed and decked less than 1,000 miles ago

BLOCK- cylinders we're good so just having them honed, magnafluxed, hot tanked, line bore checked, top of the block decked....

CRANK- rods and main journals polished, magnafluxed, hot tanked....

Also the whole rotating assembly (rods, crank, clutch) will be getting balanced.

Had a SB3600 Lever style in it with Centered Iron Disc's in it from where I had been pulling sled. To it to Kenny's Pulling Parts and Machine here in Waynesburg, KY to have pressure plate, floater plater, and flywheel turned. Also had new disc's put in with ceramic on ceramic pads.

Pump has been sent to Seth at DPE to be maxed out. He said with the 191dvs I should be at about 575cc of fuel....

Still pondering on the twin setup and injector setup i wanna go with....am having a hard time figuring it out lol....

Will throw some pics up in a bit....

ALSO, all work besides machine work and pump work is being done by myself along with one of my best friends named Tyrone Taylor which runs Taylor Diesel Repair here in Waynesburg, KY....

For injectors, a set of 6x.016" from SDX would be a great choice, just don't go too big on them. I see too many guys go with these monstrous sized 6x.022" or 7x.024" and then whine that they lose power. at that point the injector is too big and is not atomizing the fuel properly for what you want to do.

as for the twins, my buddy is building a very similar truck now with a maxed out 12mm pump etc. and he wanted to upgrade his 62/S475 twins to a 64/S480. he called and talked with Jose at forced inductions, about the upgrades to his turbos, and Jose recommends he stay with the 62 and jump to the S480 on the bottom. He explained this was the same set he had just done on another truck and the 62/480 put down 859hp and was way more fun to drive than the 64/480 combo that he had tried. i do not know what turbine was on the 62mm top charger but he was very adamant that my buddy stayed with the 62 instead of jumping to 64, even tho he would have made money on the deal if my buddy insisted on having it modified.

6x.016s about a 250~ hp injector???? im not real for sure....and i was considered a 64/s480 but im starting to 2nd guess....maybe some others will chime in thats had some experience as well....

859hp is alot haha....with my setup and a good set of injectors and twisn i was hoping to break 700-750hp.....but i want to get the max hp possible with a 12mm pump....

Just a small update....

Still waiting on the machine shop to get done with everything....As soon as they get done I can get rollin on this thing. Also fixing to order common rail 24v tappets, 12mm main studs, and piston rings, rods and mains, and full engine gasket set....With the right twin setup and injector setup Im not real sure what this thing is going to be capable of....
