lol... for a week he says.

i do happen to have MULTIPLE dynos available to me. dynapacks, mustang dynos, dyno dynamics and dynojets... several of them calibrated to 2000hp. i love this part of florida!!!

im going to see about getting an extended/aftermarket warranty for my truck and then try to get all the broke stuff fixed or replaced before i open it up. if i cant get the warranty, i just say screw it and order a plate... and search for extra trannies

but you say a #10 plate is a good all-around starting point for stock trucks? could the pump also benefit from changing out the governor springs? i have noticed that when i get to 2200, the truck starts to lay down and painfully creeps up to 2800. when it upshifts, thats when it feels like it takes off again.

what part of florida? Yup #10 is a good all around plate and when youget enough air,you can change that plate to a 100 or really go to work and come up with your own grind based on it. A GSK will definitely wake up the pump, I suggest a 4K and leave the inner spring out to make it a 3K until you get the springs to run the 4K, then just put the inner spring back in.

this is a great write up for people to learn how the fueling on these trucks works. but i have to admit, i would have gone about it another direction. i would go to 181's for dvs and i would have left the 100 and tuned the afc to control the fueling levels. i would bump the boost up a bit more, i had one of mine at 42 lbs for over 60k and it was not terrible with the 370s as far as smoke goes. the afc is a really great thing when setting the fueling curve on these trucks. jim fulmer shower me a set up he used years ago, nothing more than a regulator that you hook up and use it to set the fueling curve of the afc. and you will learn all kinds of things with it. like that a 215 pump afc spring will not compress all the way till 40 pounds of boost. still this is a great write up and i will send many people this way to get some learning.

i live 30-40 min north of tampa in Spring Hill. if you come over on I-10 and straight down US19, youll run into me.

so, ill have to read more on the governor mods cuz the springs and such are still a little vague to me but ill go ahead and keep in mind your recommendation when it comes time for that.

i figure if i wanted to stick it to the man... i would order a #10 plate, overlay the profile on my stock plate. then i could go ahead and grind down my stock plate to match the profile. ive got a friend who does cryo treating... hopefully thatd alleviate any metal-on-metal wear from the rack/follower... then ill just send back the new plate.

i take it, itll be a whle before i need the DV"s and injectors though... not untill i use a turbo that pushes more air volume?
