I've got an early 98' 12v. If I park it with the front up hill, the next morning I have a problem starting it. If I park with the nose downhill, it'll start with no problem.
I'm thinking OFV. When I look for parts, they all show them listed for a P7100. I've got a VP-44...right?
There is a way to test the OFV. Do not just buy one until you test yours. I am thinking perhaps you have an air leak in your fuel lines. When you park downhill that puts extra fuel pressure in the lines that does not allow the air to enter.
heres the link to troubleshoot the OFV TSB 14-07-96 Rev. A
i also recently bought the same tork tek OFV that country hick linked and i highly reccomend it, the one i got was pre set a little low but it adjusted perfectly.
I did, but not because of the OFV. I pulled and cleaned all my injectors & changed the fuel filter too. If I had just changed the OFV, I think I would still have given it 10-12 pumps just for good measure.
No. Your pump will lose a little bit of fuel, but unless you have another existing problem with your fuel system the lift pump will fill it right back up. It may sputter a little on the first start-up after you replace the valve but I replaced my valve and fuel filter at the same time and it didn't hiccup too bad.
