When cranking the truck, it has to wheel over a few times to crank. If I barely push on acc. petal, it will kick right off and if I immediately release the pedal it might die. Seems the governor is not responding. You can tell the pump has been adjusted by previous owner. When the TC kicks in the RPMS drop and will blow black smoke with the low boost. Thanks for any info, Eddie
It idles around 650. I now have the habit of touching the pedal. I want it to crank like my 93, as soon as you bump the key, and it is idled low. Thanks for info.
My truck did the same thing. BUT only when cold (below freezing). If you look at the sunvisor you will see cold starting instructions. It says to give it some throttle to start. Normally my idle rpm is about 850 (where it should be). When it is cold it might be at 500 rpm or less.
If Texas is not that cold yet my post may not be helpful.
It seems the P7100 may like it around 750 here and 850 in colder weather. Thanks!
