Jumping RPM's

I know I'm a noob, and I'm not the most intellectual on diesels yet. But I've got a '94 Cummins that is jumping rpm's in drive and o/d, it doesn't do it all the time but sometimes it starts as soon as the truck starts. It jumps about 100-200 rpm's. But it's a '94 2500 single cab lwb, I had to have the tranny rebuilt b/c the stock converter came apart and the tranny shop ate the warranty it come with because the kept on putting crappy reman converter back in. But PCM went bad and replaced it and before I started doing all this research I replaced the TPS. But right now nothing special about it just turned up the timing on the pump, modified fuel plate, air intake, ATS converter, DDp 75hp injectors. Any help is appreciated and yes I have searched but haven't found a clear answer yet. Thanks.
