Questions on 96' 5.9l

Hey guys, i'm new here, and I am in the proccess of getting a 1996 5.9l cummins 2500. The truck is in really good cond., few rust spots here and there...but all in all good truck. The guy I am looking at buying it from says it has had no problems, its been stock its whole life, the only thing added was a stack. My question is, what do you think its worth? Its got 239,000 miles; how much longer should it go? I know the 5.9 can go over that easily...
Also, is there anything with this year I should be worried about? Lift pumps? etc. etc.
Thanks!

Yeah, I'll attest 2nd gen brakes are horrid. Haha My lift pumps causes a ticking noise, but everthing I was told, it's common and not to worry bout it. All in all their good trucks, and you really shouldn't have much to worry bout, maybe injectors might need changed.

I bought my 96 ext cab auto 4x4 larime 2500 134k miles on it for $8250 out the door. it was in pretty good shape, no mods, still had the stock exhaust on it. this was about four months ago in Houston.

The front end was wore, Replaced all of the Tie Rods with MOOG and the ball joints where in good shape. Put a new A/C compressor on it. That was the only concerns with it.

Up here in Illinois that same truck would cost you 11,000 if not more... you got a good steal...

I'm in IL, and the truck is 96' 5.9 w/ 239,000 miles. Has a plow, toolbox, back-rack, new tires, new brakes, etc. Is 4,500 a good price? seems to it to me, but I'm just not sure with 239,000 how the drivetrain will hold; tierods, balljoints, cvs, etc. etc. etc.

steering is always loose. brakes arent the greatest hahahaha and the wheel bearings arent the strongest and kinda suck to replace as well as ball joints.
