4k gsk

so we installed a 4k gsk in my 97 215 pump today. now besides the signature i have a custom groung plate laser cut delivery valves a 3000 gsk kit someone else installed (till today) a 16 cm exhaust housing with a 35/ 40 kit. now it idles fine so the springs are in good. and the timing is 16.5 btw. now it runs fine first gear through the rpms then second its ok. a little odd. then third after 1500 it wants to run straight to 4000 and hold there till you turn the truck off. now we think maybe the fuel pin is getting stuck under the plate during rack travel cause it moves different w/ the springs but that doesnt make sense cause this plate is made for 3000 and around 2800-3200 it defuels because of the slight curve up. now at idle if you rev it over 2000 it runs straight to 4000 and and holds it doesnt come off for anything. any insight on what might be the problem would be gratly appreciated.

Guy I know had similar issue. Got tired of not being able to figure it out and swapped pumps with another guy. When it was off and the gov springs were pulled out you could see the stud the springs go on was bent over a little...assuming that caused the issue as he just installed the other pump.
