help! truck no fire

it started up and I hitched up the trailer. went to start it again and it cranks but wont turn over. fuel filter was changed last month, tried priming it and still nothing. what would the problem be?

Is the primer actually moving fuel?

I've only messed with these a little, hopefully someone will help out here if I'm wrong.

The truck will turn over, just not fire?

Do you have fuel to the injectors?

try crackin the injectors then turning it over the truck could b vapor locked

The first thing to check is to see if the fuel solenoid is pulling up. Read this: Joe G's fuel system writeup

check to see if the shutdown solenoid is working try turning the key to the on postion but don't start it,pull the solenoid up to the magnet,if it sticks repeat them steps twice then try starting it

Post Solenoid...

Turn on the Key, Pull up on the Fuel Shutdown Solenoid till it "locks" then try to start the truck without turning off the key.
I have been doing this for about a week until I found the loose connection.

And the NUT behind the wheel

i actually just had the same problem mine was the shutdown solenoid its a pretty easy fix

that is a common problem get a new soleniod and relay that should fix your problem City Diesel - Diesel Performance they have what you want

I would have to agree with them the fuel soleniod would do that same thing happened in a buddies truck
