All I keep burning up is those darn wheel hubs. Whose bright idea was a non rebuildable hub anyway?
DynaTrac Free-Spin, or an equivalent copy-cat, as I know there are a few others by now. It was close to $1900 all said and done, but at $200 per side for the unit-bearing hubs and me only getting about 35,000 lies from them with my 35's, that's only 166,000 miles to break even, and you KNOW the Cummins will easily do THAT! And that doesn't factor in the mileage increase: 2mpg better since the Free-Spin kit.

ems offroad hubs

ems offroad was $895 - quality parts. they have upgrades for heavier duty splines, axles, ect. but the basic kit is atleast as heavy duty as the stock 3500 front end. the upgrades are worthwhile if plowing or serious offroading - i do niether, just want to save fuel and have a more logical hub.

I've got a 98 with over 248,000 miles (approximately). Soon after I bought it I found out the odom was rolled back, so can't say how many for sure. Original motor as far as I know, I do have a new tranny and transfer case in it though.

Soon to have TST Power Kit installed, ATS exhaust manifold, and steering box stabilizer. Possibly an ATS Intake Manifold and a 3rd Gen Track Bar.
