Cool No power under load

1995 Dodge doesn't have any power when I really put some fuel too it. I sounds fine until I try to go above 1800-1900 RPMs. It starts to bog down real heavy above that like the govenor is cutting in and small wisp of white smoke emit from the tail pipe. Please Help

change your fuel filter and do a routine maintenance (oil, oil filter, air filter) auto or 5 speed?

I changed the fluids and filters, and it ran better for a little while but would still sputter at high RPMs, not as bad though. Then the monster came back worse then ever. When I changed the fuel filter I followed the directions that came with the filter, fill it up basically and hand tight plus a 1/4 turn. Do I have to prime it though because I did not do that does that remove air from the system and do I have to prime it with or without the filter on.
I didn't even know it had a push primer system until I downloaded a diagram of my engine yesterday from this forum.
Oh itz a 5 speed, thankz jcarl for the response.

You may have a fuel pressure problem. Don't know from the reported symptoms. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? It also could be an AFC problem. Check to make sure that the hose to the back of the AFC is good and has no leaks. Is your truck a five speed or an automatic? Read this: Joe G's fuel system writeup

ya make sure your lift pump is working to supply all the fuel to your p7100 as well. buddy of mine had his lift pump die and the truck would run fine under normal conditions (p-pump strong enough to pull its own fuel out of the tank), but when hed hit high RPM hed sputter a little.

Check the fuel presure, then i would pop the top on the AFC and give the starwheel a few cranks and even slide the stock plate forward.

When i first got my truck thats how it ran, decent till about 2g then fell flat on its azz. First off i had slid the stock plate forward, that helped it from laying down above 2g but it still seemed to be lacking alot of power so i spun the starwheel forward and omg what a difference, all kinds of power down low!

Then it all goes to hell after that, ya gotta pull the plate and grind that to a '0' and block off the wastegate, turbo, injectors, intake, exhaust...
